Erasmus Welcome Days is an initiative promoted by ESN Italy, which has been carrying out this project since 2010, and aims to welcome international students who arrive for the first time in Verona and are preparing to carry out a period of study at our University. As the name suggests, the "Erasmus Welcome Days" are days dedicated to welcoming young people who will stay in their respective Italian cities to study with the Erasmus program or with other programs promoted by the European Commission. The “Erasmus Welcome Days” offer a unique opportunity for foreign students to get to know their Italian colleagues, local associations and the teaching-administrative body with whom they will have to interface during their study period in Italy. They also give the first information to move around a theoretically unknown city thanks to the work of ESN volunteers. Erasmus Welcome Days represents a challenge for the entire Italian Network because it contributes to giving importance to the Erasmus project both on the territory and towards the different local realities. In recent years, about 20,000 students from all over Europe have used the service and nearly 50 ESN sections have been involved throughout Italy.

Erasmus Welcome Days è un’iniziativa promossa da ESN Italia, che porta avanti questo progetto dal 2010, e ha come obiettivo quello di dare il benvenuto agli studenti internazionali che arrivano per la prima volta volta a Verona e si apprestano a svolgere un periodo di studio presso il nostro Ateneo. Come il nome suggerisce, gli “Erasmus Welcome Days” sono delle giornate di benvenuto e di accoglienza dedicata ai ragazzi che resteranno nelle rispettive città italiane per studiare con il programma Erasmus o con gli altri programmi promossi dalla Commissione Europea. Gli “Erasmus Welcome Days” offrono una possibilità unica, per gli studenti stranieri, di conoscere i colleghi italiani, le realtà associative locali e il corpo docente-amministrativo con cui dovranno interfacciarsi durante il proprio periodo di studio in Italia. Danno, inoltre, le prime informazioni per muoversi all'interno di una città teoricamente sconosciuta grazie al lavoro dei volontari di ESN. Erasmus Welcome Days rappresenta una sfida per l’intero Network italiano perché esso contribuisce a dare importanza al progetto Erasmus sia sul territorio che verso le diverse realtà locali. Gli scorsi anni hanno usufruito del servizio circa 20.000 studenti provenienti da tutta l’Europa e sono state coinvolte quasi 50 sezioni ESN in tutta Italia.
