ESN si schiera con l'UNESCO per salvaguardare il futuro dell'istruzione

La pandemia di COVID-19 ha fatto luce su sfide allarmanti nel campo dell'istruzione che finora non erano state adeguatamenteaffrontate e ha evidenziato le disuguaglianze che devono essere contrastate per garantire il diritto fondamentale a un apprendimento eun'istruzione di qualità lungo tutto l'arco della vita.

Per questo motivo l'UNESCO sta attualmente conducendo un dibattito globale per riconsiderare il focus centrale dell'apprendimento e della conoscenza e come esso può plasmare l'umanità in un mondo di crescente incertezza. Quest'anno sistanno concentrando sull'innescare dibattiti e ottenere input da individui, reti e organizzazioni, incoraggiandoli a pensare in modocritico alle sfide e alle opportunità che il possibile futuro dell'istruzione ci riserva.

Il programma Erasmus+ ha portato alla nascita della 'Generazione Erasmus', un termine utilizzato per descrivere i giovani che hannogoduto dei benefici pratici di avere una mentalità internazionale ed essere integrati. Questa comunità così mobile, la quale da valore atolleranza e alla cittadinanza democratica, è desiderosa di diseganre le politiche sull'educazione e assicurarsi che in tempi dicambiamento la loro voce sia anscoltata in modo da proteggere tutte le forme di apprendimento e assicurarsi che essa sia approfondita esviluppata.

Non sorprende quindi che Erasmus Student Network con le sue 533 Sezioni locali in 42 Paesi sia coinvolto nella consultazione delprogetto "Futures of Education" e si adopererà per garantire che la voce della Generazione Erasmus sia rappresentata attraverso dibattiti, scambio di idee e un questionario di 1 minuto che consente di stabilire le proprie priorità per il futuro dell'istruzione.

ESN è ansiosa di sostenere l'iniziativa dell'UNESCO per assicurarsi che la voce degli studenti internazionali venga ascoltata fornendoun'opportunità per una comunità di giovani che apprezzano la solidarietà internazionale, per sostenere il cambiamento al fine diproteggere e trasformare l'istruzione e l'apprendimento.

Nessuno può prevedere come l'istruzione cambierà dopo la pandemia, ma possiamo prendere parte al cambiamento esplorando,abbracciando e sviluppando criticamente le sue principali priorità.

 

ESN teams up with UNESCO to safeguard the future of education

The pandemic of COVID-19 shed light on alarming challenges in education that had not adequately been addressed so far and highlighted inequalities thatmust be tackled in order to guarantee the fundamental right to quality lifelong learning and education.

 

As a result, UNESCO is currently leading a global debate to reimagine the focus of learning and knowledge in the future and how it can shape humanity in aworld of increasing uncertainty. This year they are focusing on sparking conversations and getting input from individuals, networks, and organisations,encouraging them to think critically about the challenges and opportunities that the possible futures of education hold.

 

The Erasmus+ programme has led to the emergence of the ‘Erasmus Generation’, a term used to describe young people who have enjoyed the practical benefitsof being internationally-minded and integrated. The highly mobile community, which values tolerance and democratic citizenship, is eager to shapeeducation policies and to make sure that in times of change their voice is heard in order to protect all forms of learning and to ensure that it’s being exploredand developed.

 

Therefore it comes as no surprise that Erasmus Student Network with its 533 local associations in 42 countries is involved in the consultation of the“Futures of Education” project and will strive to make sure that the voice of the Erasmus Generation is being represented through debates, exchange of ideas, and a 1-minute questionnaire that allows the audience to set their priorities for the future of education.

 

ESN is eager to support UNESCO's initiative to make sure that the voice of international students will be heard by providing an opportunity for a communityof young people who value international solidarity to advocate for the change they want to see in order to protect and transform education and learning.

No one can foresee how education will be reshaped after the pandemic, but we can take ownership in exploring, embracing and critically developing itsupcoming priorities.
